Crafted from necessity. Refined through precision.
Greene Thorne was founded by Rory Thorne following his service in the Royal Marines Commandos, where he completed multiple operational deployments. After leaving the military and starting a family, his focus shifted toward building a home and a life beyond service.
During the renovation of his own property, Rory set out to source high-quality decorative bargeboards. Despite extensive searching, well-made, bespoke options were difficult to find. Rather than compromise, he chose to design and create his own.

What began as a practical solution quickly revealed a clear opportunity. With a long-standing appreciation for architecture and detail, the process highlighted a gap in the market for properly crafted, design-led bargeboards.
A chance introduction led to a partnership with Artur, an experienced craftsman with a dedicated workshop and a background in producing bespoke furniture for high-end clients. It became clear early on that they shared the same standards and approach to quality.
Greene Thorne was built on that alignment.
Today, the studio combines design, precision, and craftsmanship to create distinctive architectural features. While bargeboards remain at the core, the same approach extends into doors, windows, and complementary architectural elements, ensuring a cohesive and considered finish across the home.
